Excellent!  Welcome.

This group is an ACTION-oriented group focused on developing innovative, creative, out-of-the-box solutions to sustainability "problems" in the areas of energy/power/renewables, recycling/composting/gray water, carbon mitigation, food security, transportation, land use, environmental education.  

The members are representatives of city/county governments, sustainability/environmental/technology development businesses and nonprofits, funders with deep pockets, as well as artists, designers, inventors, engineers, mechanics.  The idea is to connect the ingenuity, out-of-the-box design strategies and the humor and engaged nature of artists and activists to those forging the arena of sustainability problem solving.

The ethos is based in open hand, open source, cooperative development of projects that address immediate, localized sustainability issues.

This is a participant-driven group, which meets once a month  in the SF Bay Area, providing 2 presentations on innovative projects, discussion of what is needed and how to accomplish, specific project development, and open networking.  The goal, beyond information sharing, is to identify specific sustainability needs/issues and develop specific solutions that are innovative and fun, as well as to access available funding for project development and implementation.
