All please note the following in relation to the upcoming KTEQ Rentals
2012 Qld Sprint Titles (Supplementary Regulations have been approved):
*Accommodation*
We are aware that there is some discussion around accommodation
availability in Gladstone. We as a club are working behind the scenes
and are pleased to advise of the following:
/Camping /-- there is NO camping at the track for the duration of the
Titles. However the club has made arrangements for camping at Brothers
Rugby League grounds (further details will be provided shortly on our
website). Brothers are offering to have a BBQ and bar facilities open
for anyone who is staying. There are toilets and showers. Brothers are
asking for a nominal fee of $10 per site per night.
Also there are camping facilities (powered sites) available at the
Gladstone and Mt Larcom Showgrounds (no tents).
/Motel Accommodation/-- in speaking to motel owners/managers they will
have rooms become available due to workforce taking leave over the
Easter break. However these rooms won't be confirmed as available until
a few weeks prior to Easter. The club itself has been able to obtain
rooms for the officials -- so there is availability.
/Billeting Program/-- again like the Closed Titles in 2011, the club is
offering a billeting program -- where by visiting karters can register
with the club if they would like to be placed in a Gladstone karters
home. We had no one register last year but again we are having this as
an option for visiting karters. There are already a lot of visiting
karters staying with Gladstone karters. Be aware that there is no
guarantee -- but we will try to do all that we can.
**
*Pit allocation*-- please be aware that there will be no pitting from
trailers, we will be providing security from Wednesday.
*Trade areas and marquees*-- please be advised that you need to make
