I decided to attend PyCon 13 to attend the packaging summit
and to, hopefully, collaborate on some packaging-related work.

I'm also staying for the first day of sprints.

If anyone else is there to sprint with me, this might be
a good time to start on buildout 3 :)

Where buildout 3 would use newer packaging
libraries rather than distribute.

What is the plan? Switch to pip? distlib?

This seems to be the most actively developed.
Not sure if this is what we should use. This is
TBD.

No, Python packaging is.

Orthogonal: wheel is the only thing python packaging related that's left
me feeling happy once I looked at it recently...

Hey Jim, what is the result of the meeting? Have you talked with Vinay
about distlib?

Back to setuptools with the merge with Distribute?

Well, I think it was good that buildout's concerns/needs were heard.

No.

Yes. Hopefully, we'll get wheel support for free.

My biggest concern is getting support for https with certificate verification.
