Inconsistant XML data being returned

I'm trying to write an app that gets lender's total loan counts, but
when I'm looping through the XML returned, the columns are
inconsistant. Any thoughts, here are three examples where the data
format is different:
http://api.kivaws.org/v1/lenders/john4819.xml
http://api.kivaws.org/v1/lenders/jacob9395.xm
http://api.kivaws.org/v1/lenders/johnnyhep.xml

Kiva's API doesn't output fields that have no value. So, while john
has an image and loans, johnny has neither so the image and loan count
tags are not present.
