Hi everybody,

My name is Marion and I've just found out about build-kiva and would
like to contribute.
I'm a computer-scientist but haven't done much programming for the
last five years. Now I've decided that I want to get up-to-date again
and therefore am looking for some programming tasks I could work on.
As I really like Kiva, I took a look whether they need volunteers and
found build-kiva.

Can you tell me how this works? Do I just pick anything or is there a
list with needed features or something like that?
I used to do a lot of Java coding and also know much about web
techniques like HTML, CSS, PHP, Perl, etc. and database development.

Welcome to the build list, Marion!
Take a look at http://www.kiva.org/apps and http://www.kiva.org/apps/all to
see some of the projects other people have built using the API.  You can
build pretty much anything you want, as long as the API supports it and it
doesn't violate the terms of use.
