Anyone here work with or interested in working with R or R-Studio? I would like to get more into this myself, just looking to see if there are any others interested as well. Thanks.

I've worked with R off and on for the past few years. Mostly just for visualization as my stats are crap, but I'm certainly interested in some dialog and other perspectives on it.

Regards,
Nate

I have! I love R.

Hey Garot. Dave Parfitt, Matt Busigin and I have been talking about getting a group together.

I'd be interested in learning about R from some of Buffalo's best and brightest.  How about a meetup on Thurs. Feb 14th for some drinks downtown?  No other tech events scheduled yet (and no Sabres game).

Perhaps I'll do an "Intro to R" class at BarCamp this weekend

What a weird coincidence. Some random person just reached out to me about my Net::Rserve on github on the same day as this email. But yeah, if you wanted to integrate R with Perl for your talk, there's that ;) Probably not enough time to get something ready by tomorrow though.

Was wondering if this might be a topic of interest again, as I heard I missed the last presentation from Dan. I am still interested in working on this platform and understanding some of its potential applications for predictive, real time analysis.

Thanks,

Even further, should there be enough people, perhaps a User Group for R alone might be of interest...???  Like Perl Mongers and such or perhaps there is already such a dedicated group?
