I am curious where and with whom people have delivered with in budapest

I would love to use a midwife, but I know there are some issues with that there...
How does it work?

Thanks

Hi Miriam,

I had a homebirth with an amazing midwife that I'd highly recommend!
If you are interested, please email me at meliss...@gmail.com.

Thanks,

Hi Miriam,

I can tell you not to go to the Maternity Clinic at Kutvolgyi and especially not with Dr Vida Gabor.

There are plenty of moms who will recommend you who to go with though :-)

Good luck!

I just had a baby in April (my second) and I gave birth at Kutvolgyi Maternity..and I had a really good experience! My doctor was Dr. Csabay and he was just wonderful!! The whole place is really nice, new, clean and the nurses and midwives were very nice too. We both stayed in, got 5 meals a day and they helped with the baby, took her whenever I needed a little rest. My stay was peaceful and relaxed. They took care of all the paperwork for me and the baby..did not have to do a thing.
I did get upset though with the anesthesiologist couple of weeks prior birth..her attitude stunk..but I had very little contact with her at the end..so all in all had a pleasant experience..was actually pretty close to giving birth in the States (had my first there).
Liza, why did you have a bad experience?

There are now 3 licensed home birth midwives in Hungary, and several others with no license, who will attend home births.
