Hi,

I am trying to install and compile the program in my MacOSX, but
somehow it is not working. I can unzip the tar file and I see the new
directory with the data and src subdirectories, but when I go to the
terminal and try to do the compilation nothing happens. Basically it
tells me that it can't find the 'make' command. I have read in the
manual that if I don't have gcc installed and the executable is not
working in my system I would need to find the installer for gcc. I
can't find this installer anywhere but in general, with other programs
of similar characteristics that also work with gcc I don't have this
problem.

Thank you,
Ester

On my Mac, make is located in /usr/bin.

You can download gcc and make (and a bunch of other goodies) here by
downloading and installing the Xcode suite.

http://developer.apple.com/technologies/xcode.html

This requires registering as a developer, but the code is free and
installing Xcode is as easy as installing other Mac software (with
administrator permissions). The distribution is large and takes some time
to download.

Thank you.
I'll try to install Xcode. I don't know what happened with my make.
