Message
Lawyers should never ask a Mississippi grandma a question if they aren't prepared for the answer.
In a trial, a Southern small-town prosecuting attorney called his first witness, a grandmotherly, elderly woman to the stand. He approached her and asked, 'Mrs. Jones, do you know me?' She responded, 'Why, yes, I do know you, Mr. Williams. I've known you since you were a boy, and frankly, you've been a big disappointment to me. You lie, you cheat on your wife, and you manipulate people and talk about them behind their backs. You think you're a big shot when you haven't the brains to realize you'll never amount to anything more than a two-bit paper pusher. Yes, I know you.'

This will affect ANYONE riding at Shawnee, including
local landowners. ANYBODY who rides any of the
designated trails WILL HAVE to have this $50.00
permit (if you ride up there allot like we do). It must be
PER PERSON, per year, because it does not apply to
those under the age of 16. The other fee is a $5.00/per

thanks Brenda, I am glad you mentioned the red ribbon. this is my biggest peve. folks love their horses and dont want to see them with any faults but a kicking horse is like playing with a loaded gun. I think all of us have seen someone or their horse get kicked and its not pleasant.
Lets not forget about having dogs on trailrides.

The following comes from Vicki in Louisville. She proposes another great trailriding rule and also reports on a recent trailriding experience.
************************
Dean I have one to add: Leave only footprints and take only memories! I am really on the no litter band wagon. I have called our Mayor, and talked to my councilwoman, to no avail yet, but I hate seeing our town (or any town) all littered up! If you can pack it out on the trail, you have room in your bag to pack it home to throw it away properly!!!!!! Have a good ride and I'll be thinking of you all. Tell everyone hello for me. My group went to Midwest trail ride this past week end, Chris really enjoyed his first trail ride, and wished we could have stayed longer. He rides very well for a tin horn, I feel very comfortable taking him.(I usually get nervous taking a non rider, but not with him) Had a few problems, my air and heat did not work, we got a flat tire on the trailer, and my friends horse reared up as he was mounting and danced backward and cut her neck on the metal roof (about a 3 1/2 " gash, showing muscles and tendons) but missed all major vessels. Didn't
