Thought this might be something Boy Scouts might be interested in helping out with, especially if they are working on the disability awareness merit badge. The Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence is looking for volunteers to help with miscellaneous duties such as passing out programs, manning kid's zone, directing people, and using a clicker to keep track of people entering the exhibit hall. The Ohio Resource Center for Autism and Low-incidence Disabilities) is hosting an Expo on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. Some entertainment includes the Columbus Zoo mascot, COSI's mascot, the Ohio State School for the Blind's marching band, and hopefully Brutus Buckeye. Below is a description of what is taking place. The 2009 OCALI Exposition, 4:00 – 8:00 pm, Tuesday, November 17, 2009, Greater Columbus Convention Center is a communityi-wide celebration of hope and possibility. Ohio's largest autism and low-incidence disability exposition, will feature over 100 companies and organizations providing information on the latest products, services and solutions for Autism Spectrum Disorders and low-incidence disabilities such as visual impairments, hearing impairments, traumatic brain injury (TBI) and more. Live music, a "Kids' Zone" recreational area for children 3-15 and refreshments will contribute to the festive atmosphere of discovery, learning and sharing. The 2009 OCALI Exposition is free and open to the public.
