So this is a belated apology for being incommunicado.
I've been a bit preoccupied and missed the last several meetings due
to a recent squishware release. In this case it was rev 4.0 released
on May 4th 2009.
The move from incubation to production went smoothly, and the primary
stakeholders are pretty happy with what they've got. Deployment was
pretty much smooth and without incident, and the primary developer
(not me) has been focusing on recovery and fine-tuning the release
while I've been taking care of supporting legacy products. (rev 1,2,
2.5d and 3)

I was driving around Warm Springs mesa the other day and looked him up.
Here's his mini-castle (Street View rocks):
You might remember Steve as the (sometimes grouchy) coordinator of the
Delphi user group when it was transitioning to the Boise Visual Developers
group.
Oh, and he's still coding in Delphi. Be sure to give him some grief about
this (except Jim who can further bond).
Steve - try hitting the "REPLY" button you see up there at the top of your
screen! J

Grats! Staying up to date with squishware is vital for financial and tax
deductions as well as excellent dietary methods for wallets.

I started coming to the group when Rich was running it and it was
meeting at the Dept Ag building (I think that's what it was) out
warmsprings. Remember once him telling us how he got into trouble
running a war dialer out of that office, does anybody remember using a
300 baud modem? Had to drive 50 miles to come to the meetings back
then and came to as many as I could make. The meeting format was much
more open then and it was easy to step up and present something ad-hoc
if you wanted to. A bunch of great people who loved programming
computers getting together to share what they knew :)
Thanks for the memories!!!

I’d love to find a WAV/MP3 file of the 2400 baud modem connecting, even with the MNP level 5 correction tones too.
I’d hook this up to my Messenger starting, FTP client, etc. – mostly to confuse people nearby, but also to remember the glory days.
Anybody have such an audio file?
