troop camping trip cost. and scouting cost.

We always keep the cost of any trip as low as possible. All the trips are discussed with the boys at the PLC meetings , with them coming up with the ideas on where to go.
We give them ideas of different places ,and they narrow them down when needed. With some trips costing more than others depending on where we go.
 We realize this may be placing a burden on some parents as to paying for them.

If any scout is not going on trips because of the cost of the trip, this is totally unnecessary. 
The troop has funds for this, we just need to know about it.  The committee is dedicated to providing a good scouting experience for everyone.
If cost is an issue and anyone needs help with this  PLEASE come talk to us , me or any adult in the troop, It will be keep confidential.
In these trying economic times don't afraid to talk. We can't help if we don't know about it. This has always been our policy but not everyone may know this.

On a side note..
We've received a letter from council about this issue, asking us for general information on this. So they can ascertain the needs of scouts.
We're putting together a general letter to mail to every family in the troop,  please return it if you want to, so that we can give a accurate answer back to council.
