Running BrutefirDRC
Hi- I have Brutefir installed on Vortexbox (used yum install brutefir); but no idea how to use it with Logitech Media Server. Are there any instructions anywhere? Or is there still a plugin that hasn't been written. Sorry for the newbie questions. Thanks

Brutefir release?
Is there any progress on releasing a newer version of Brutefir? I use a Linux server and have tried hard to get Inguz working on it with no success. I need Brutefir to be useable with a Squeezebox Touch (that's all I have!) or through SbS or LMS. Any thoughts? Bob

new Release with all your changes?
Hi, just a question: is it time for a new release with all your changes? There have been a lot of changes, maybe there should be a new release with all the new stuff? I have no idea if Toby can add a release on sourceforge I am pretty certain but not sure. Regards Klaas

Brutefir attenuates at lower sample rates
Olov, hope you don't mind - this issue is real, and probably needs its own thread: Olav posted that he observed a difference in volume between 88.2 or 96kHz material compared to 44.1 or 48kHz. ---- from Olav ------ I have noticed that 88.2 and 96 kHz files sound louder than 48 and 44.1 with brutefirdrc. There is no difference between 16 and 24bit.... more »

Filter samplerate conversion
Hi all, In brutefirwrapper Toby generates the filters using sox if the source samplerate is different from that of the filter: sox_process = subprocess.Popen(['sox', '-t','raw', '-f', # floating point '-4', # 32 bit... more »

Brutefir for Touch or VB-player
...Hi all. Olav, I hope you dont mind me quoting your email on the new list. Ive been investigating the effect of filter_length and float_bits on performance. Attached is a python script which tries all combinations. Numbers are elapsed time in seconds: 32 64 65536,1 5.175813 10.400801... more »
