root server only with ssh access

hello.

possible to "run" a shotfactory on a machine where no gui at all is
installed?

if so i would run some factories on some of our servers, where i have
only ssh access.

Yes, you just have to install the necessary packets (vncserver, etc) and
browsers. Check
http://code.google.com/p/browsershots/wiki/InstallFactoryLinux for some
details.

To run the factory without an active SSH session you can use nohup or
screen.

You said "on a machine where no GUI at all is installed", doesn't XP
always have a GUI. AFAIK only the newest Windows Server allows a
headless install and use.

Or do you mean you just have Remote Desktop access?
