servo configuration

I'm happy to report that I'm *almost* done building my first towel! I've been following the youtube videos (which have been extremely helpful!) and I think I've got everything setup properly except the radio/servo config.

I've got the right servo in channel 1, the left servo in channel 2... but the elvons don't seem to moving correctly. This is what I've got -

Any ideas on how to fix?

You need to program the radio. Did you get the programming cable? If so you need
to install the software--on a windows machine and then program for
elevon mixing.

You can come by the studio and I will program it for you.

The other option is to get an on board vtail/elevon mixer. I have those too.

I've got the cable and installed both the programming apps.
DigitalRadio which looks much more friendly but I'm still not sure
what to do.

Do you have a settings file I can load?

attached is the config i use for the hkt6a app.

the switch on the right hand side is programmed for dual rates,
forward will increase throws.

If that does not work you should look up some threads on how to
program the radio. I found

Looking from the rear of the airplane you want both surfaces to go up
with up elevator command (pulling the stick
towards the bottom of the transmitter), left stick is left surface up,
right down, opposite for right and down elevator both
surfaces go down.

"granny mode", or
back, Push the switch on the top right side of transmitter forward and
see if the control
throws increase.

This morning I flew for the first time - it was awesome!

My first flight was the longest clocking in around 30 seconds. I had
almost a dozen flights before I'd broken things beyond field repair. I
need to rebuild my motor mount and replace the propeller, which I
should have bought a few more of.
