1. He was caught cheating at Harvard when he attended it. He was
expelled twice, once for cheating on a test, and once for paying a
classmate to cheat for him.

2. While expelled, Kennedy enlisted in the Army, but mistakenly signed
up for four years instead of two. Oops, the man can't count to four.
His father pulled the necessary strings to have his son's enlistment
shortened to two years, and to ensure that he served in Europe, not
Korea, where a war was raging. No preferential treatment for him like
"he" charged President Bush received.


3. Kennedy was assigned to Paris, never advanced beyond the rank of
Private, and returned to Harvard upon being discharged. Imagine a
person of his "education" NEVER advancing past the rank of Private.


4. While attending law school at the University of Virginia, he was
cited for reckless driving four times, including once when he was
clocked driving 90 miles per hour in a residential neighborhood with
his headlights off after dark. Yet his Virginia driver's license was
never revoked. Coincidentally, he passed the bar exam in 1959,
amazing!!!

5. In 1964, while flying his own plane, he was seriously injured in a
crash and hospitalized for several months. Test results done by the
hospital at the time he was admitted had shown he was legally
intoxicated. The results of those tests remained a "state secret"
until in the 1980's when the report was unsealed. Didn't hear about
that from the "unbiased" media, did we?

6. On July 19, 1969, Kennedy attended a party on Chappaquiddick Island
in Massachusetts. At about 11:00 PM, he borrowed his chauffeur's keys
to his Oldsmobile limousine, and offered to give a ride home to Mary
Jo Kopechne, a campaign worker. Leaving the island via an unlit bridge
with no guard rail, Kennedy steered the car off the bridge where it
flipped into Poucha Pond.

7. He swam to shore and walked back to the party, after passing
several houses and a fire station. Then two friends returned with him
to the scene of the accident. According to their later testimony, they
told him what he already knew, that he was required by law to
immediately report the accident to the authorities. Instead, Kennedy
made his way to his hotel, called his lawyer, and went to sleep.
Kennedy called the police the next morning and by then the wreck had
already been discovered. Before dying, Kopechne had scratched at the
upholstered floor above her head in the upside-down car. The Kennedy
family began "calling in favors", ensuring that any inquiry would be
contained.

8. He has been the prime instigator and author of every expansion of,
and increase in, immigration, up to and including the latest attempt
to grant amnesty to all illegal aliens (not to mention the Pious
grilling he gave the last two Supreme Court Nominees, as if he were
the standard-bearer for the nation in matters of honesty).

9. He is known around Washington as a public drunk, a pompous ass who
is loud, boisterous and very disrespectful to women.

Kennedy irreparably damaged and endangered the United States of
America. However, he will not be here to see the "fallout" when it
comes. Some comments from the ABC article:

Kennedy has left the U.S. defenceless by opposing Ronald Reagan's
"Star Wars" Strategic Defence Initiative; along with the other
Liberals.The fact we are exposed to nuclear ICBMS from North Korea and
Iran is due to Kennedy's and the other liberals arrogantly playing
Russian Roulette with the life of the U.S. merely because a republican
thought of an ABM defence system before they did.Unless an East and
West Coast ABM emplacements of 1,000 missiles each are built ( as part
of the economic stimulus , if for no other reason ); You are going to
need a lot of "National Health Care" to take care of the Nuclear
casualties in New York, San Francisco, Washington D.C. and Hawaii!!!!

"Should I say she was driving?", a Ted Kennedy quote to his group of
friends at the motel the morning after he had left May Jo Kopechne to
die in just 7 feet of water. And the fools of Massachusetts continue
to idolize and support a Kennedy dynasty founded on felony trucking of
whiskey during prohibition. Go figure. But then again, liberals invite
a convicted perjuror, wife cheater, national TV liar, philanderer to
speak as a featured speaker at their DEMarxist Party Convention. Can
you imagine a Republican party convention having as a feature speaker
who was a convicted perjoror, wife cheater, national TV liar,
philanderer, almost impeached president as a convention speaker ? The
point being is that the left has no moral conscience and that is why
they look the other way while shaking hands while doing their devil
worship.

Well today Mary Joe gets justice, Teddy can't swim away from this one.
What the real tragedy is that this murderer (manslaughterer at the
very least) was allowed to skate and avoid prison (which is what any
of the rest of us would have got for what he did) and serve in the
Senate of the United States for years.

What Ted Kennedy did during his life is now a topic between him and
God. Tropical or Hot, it's not my call. What does leave me completely
speechless is how the people of Massachusetts could keep reelecting
him.

I agree that it is wrong of ABC to run this article on Chappaquiddick
the very day that Kennedy dies. They should have been running this
article every week for the past 40 years! The headlines today should
be something like, "Corrupt Former Politician Dies in Prison, Finally
Closing Dark Chapter in Kennedy History"

I keep reading posts from people bashing ABC for running this story
the very day that Kennedy dies. I too think that running this article
today is in bad taste. They should have run this article decades ago
and run it every week until this man paid for the life that Mary Jo
never got the chance to live.

Kennedy 'joked about Chappaquiddick'
Biographer reveals deadly incident was a 'favorite topic of humor'

One of Sen. Ted Kennedy's favorite topics of humor was the incident at
Chappaquiddick Island, Mass., in 1969 in which he drove off a bridge
and left behind a 28-year-old woman who drowned, according to a
biographer who reminisced about the iconic Democrat on a Washington,
D.C., talk show this morning.

Edward Klein, speaking to WAMU guest host Katty Kay, said one of
Kennedy's "favorite topics of humor was, indeed, Chappaquiddick."

"He would ask people, 'Have you heard any new jokes about
Chappaquiddick?'" said Klein, a former Newsweek foreign editor and
former editor in chief of the New York Times Magazine.

Kennedy died late Tuesday night at age 77 after battling brain cancer.

Klein, the author of a biography published this year, "Ted Kennedy:
The Dream That Never Died," immediately tried to put his remarks in
context.

"I mean, that is just the most amazing thing," he said. "Not that he
didn't feel remorse about the death of Mary Jo Kopechne but that he
still always saw the other side of everything and the ridiculous side
of things, too."

Kopechne, a former campaign worker for the late Sen. Bobby Kennedy,
was one of six single women at a party with the married Ted Kennedy
and several other married men. Kennedy said he was taking Kopechne
back to the ferry landing for a return trip to Martha's Vineyard when
he took a wrong turn and drove off a bridge. He managed to escape but
left Kopechne behind and didn't report the accident until the next day
when he saw police had discovered the body.

After huddling with advisers, Kennedy made a televised statement that
saved his Senate seat, but the incident is widely believed to have
been a major factor in his failure to win the presidency.
