Hi All,

So I'm thinking of staying in Berlin for a little bit and am curious about
the local equivalent of my beloved BNM (WebDev/UI/USEX/Graphics)? Also, if
any of you want to take advantage of a excellent designer living in the
cheapest city in europe, I'll be accepting any offers of work at low prices
(half my UK day rate) to help fund my spontaneous working holiday,

Here's my portfolio on Behance
<http://www.behance.net/barryprendergast/frame>and me on
LinkedIn<http://uk.linkedin.com/in/piratio>
.

If anyone wants to join me, the snow is heaven!

Hi James,
Does that have anything to to do with IAcamp?; I spoke at this last
year about using gamer psychology theory to forecast social-network
population habits. Really enjoyed it and I'd love to attend some more.
My german is reasonably good so no fear (Meine Freundin wohnt hier und
Studien an der Universität!)

I'll get on it thanks! (Oder , "Danke!")

We started UX camp Europe because UX camp Berlin was a great success. We
have a great venue at the Erwin-Schrödinger-Zentrum (there will be no dead
cats) at Humbold University. Berlin is cheap to get to.

We made this event UX Camp Europe, because a number of people complained
that it was all in German.

And for me :-

At the same time a backlash was starting because allot of the UX conferences
are dominated by American Speakers. Even though some of the
great innovations in Interaction, like the world wide web came out of
Europe, or like the Desktop metaphor was invented by a European. That is not
to say that there are good ideas coming out of America, it is just that
the European ones don't seam to get a chance to broadcast to an audience.

We felt there needed be some event where people could mix and match and
exchange ideas. The handicap that Europeans get is that the language
of communicating UX and Interaction ideas is English, and the qualification
to speak at one of the UX events seams to be writing a book, and it is
nearly imposable for a Dutch person, or a German to get a book published in
English for their market.

We should have great talks. For example from some of the organisers, Peter
Otto - designed the new Easy Jets website, another one of the organisers was
the PHD student of one the of the originators of
Gestalt<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gestalt_psychology>theory. And
that is just a small selection.

So come along and register at UXCampEurope.org <
