I heard it was a Plumbers van that pulled up - defaced - and screeched off

Tsssk - Plumbers you say. No appreciation of the arts - I mean - you'd
expect to have an appreciation for the arts being in the plumbing trade. Tsk

I heard it was Banksy himself in the van... apparently he's "killing off"
some of his old works...

PS The above sentence is my idea of a joke - if you can be arsed to read
this far down to find out, you probably didn't believe me anyway ;)

How can a piece of grafitti be terrorised?
What did they do, threaten it with a bottle of strong bleach?

I read they were recorded on CCTV - the idiots pulled up in their
works van and blacked out the piece. I assume it's taken the fuzz this
long to follow up the complaint?

I see someone has done a restoration job on it. I also noticed the
ageing "Vote Now" Banksy on London Road has been touched up by caring
owners. When will it cease to be original art I wonder?

I'm amazed the police are involved at all. What could they be charged
with that Banksy isn't guilty of himself? And who's to say that
defacing graffiti isn't a work of art in itself? Particularly now
that Banksy is as much part of the establishment as any of the
traditional targets.

I imagine it's the Albert owner who is 'pressing charges' as such... I
gather they are/were very proud of that wall...

Whose to say Banksy broke the law by placing the artwork there against the
wishes of the owner of the property?

That's a turn up for the books.

Now that his prints/various artworks sell for squillions a lot of his
in-situ graffiti is being carefully removed for "private collections", sale
on eBay etc. in the new Great British tradition of scavenging...
