I've got to disagree and speak up in defence of some of our kit.
True, some of it is a bit rubbish, and some has been made rubbish
through over-use or lack of care.
But the wire strippers we have are, at the very least, alright.
Some are quite good. Maybe it's the way you're wielding them ;-)

On a related note, how do we stop good tools getting ruined? (when good
tools turn bad sounds like a pitch for a programme on channel 5). We
could get 2 or 3 decent anythings, just for members, but our wire
cutters were brand new and shiny once; how did they get so bad and how
do we stop it happening to other tools - or do we just accept that some
things are more like consumable tools?
