Does anyone know of an Android barcode scanner that will read the code
and just display it on the screen or put it in to a text file?
I need it for order tracking in my business but all the ones I've looked
at seem to want to link you to Amazon so you can buy something
or to Google so it can tell you what CD you've just scanned. (Could you
not just turn the CD over and look at the cover?)

Any ideas?

I recommend SL4A for this.

Here is a python example:

Instead of doing all the stuff with urls.
