Farnell actually sucks. It's just really easy to use. Mouser is soo much better, they have pretty much every variation of everything in the world, often at the cheapest prices... it's just a bit less usable, with poor linking in to datasheets and what not.

@ Matt - at first glance it looked like you could publicly share lists, but the big 'Public components' button is actually an in-development feature where you can enter components you own into a public pool, basically opening them up to buying offers from other users. But it doesn't work yet...

having components around, just in case you need them, is an expensive game. If it ever gets out of development, having a shop shop style feature would be awesome as i rarely just one or two of anything.
There isn't really anything stopping us setting up our own database of components if there? If we have something, we add it to the online db, and if we use it in a project, we link to the BB page for that part and add nice code examples and what not.

Now that would be a brill idea, as there's been a number of times when I want to try out and idea and am generally bugging people if they have one I could buy off of them before having to order a batch of them online (batches are always cheaper).
