Next week, Apple is doing a 1-day conference in London for UK developers.

However, most people who were invited have been rejected.

So ... Mike had the idea that we run our own 1-day conference in
parallel/series.

To organize this, we urgently need an idea of how many people would
come along. If you're interested, please email me off-list.

More details to follow once we have a venue arranged (probably in
central london, close to the apple event).

I'm interested as long as my app doesn't drop out of approval the day before...

Great initiative but I don't feel like going up to London for it. Why not have it in Brighton?

Hear, hear. Brighton - the unconference capital of the UK.

We had a great MobileCamp Brighton back in February at The Skiff with people coming from all over the UK. If we need a bigger venue The Old Music Library might be up for it as they were for BarCampBrighton5 and I'm sure we could find a good crowd of sponsors.

I'm in favour of pushing it back a few weeks and getting it sorted
properly, rather than rushing to coincide with the Tech Talk World
Tour event.

I think we could make this cracking event for iPhone developers. Tech
talks, app dev sessions and networking. I'll be at #tuttleBrighton
later today to talk about it.

Yeah, that seems a good idea.

How late is too late, though? (too close to Xmas?)

Simply because there are too few people in Brighton who would attend
such a conference. We need a critical mass to make it worth holding a
day-long event, otherwise we're best just continuing to do monthly
evening events.
