Hi

Just a general question, I'm working on a project that needs to transfer files from a Windows PC to an iPad using a cabled connection, i.e. not via a wireless connection of any sort.

The current developers are stating that this has to be performed via iTunes, i.e. connect the device, find the app, then work out where who to share the documents.

Basically this is going to be too much of a clunky solution for the end users of this product.

I've downloaded DiskAid and this can access everything we need via a simple tree view browser approach.

The question now by my client is well if DiskAid can do it why can't we write something that automates the process without the need of a "DiskAid" tool. I've looked around and I can't find anything that would show how to even start this. Does anyone know how DiskAid manage this, I'm assuming they are using part of the iTunes API that isn't documented?

Anybody got any pointers on where to look? 

Jailbreaking is not an option
