Subject: database with Ensembl transcript identifiers

The normal gene databases just contain the Ensembl gene identifiers, but
not the transcripts, right?
Is there already a database available that also has the transcripts?

Best,
Martina

Subject: Re: [bridgedb] database with Ensembl transcript identifiers

No. We tried adding transcripts and exons as one point and the dbs exploded
in size, making them unmanageable for use in WikiPathways.  I could produce
separate versions with transcripts for projects/usage outside of WP. Iąd
like to do this for just 1 or 2 species based on need. Or, the transcript to
gene mappings could always be added as a separate table with transitivity
through BridgeDb.
