Each semester, the TAMU Department of Multicultural Services offers a
series of "CommUnity Conversations" hosted over the lunch hour that
include a wide range of speakers. Next Tuesday, September 29th, Dr.
James McWilliams, Associate Professor of History at Texas State
University will be visiting to discuss his new book, "Just Food: Where
Locavores Get it Wrong and How We Can Truly Eat Responsibly."
As a member and advocate of the local food movement, I'm really
interested to hear what he has to say (and, I admit, perhaps debate a
little). The luncheon is free and open to the public. All they ask is
that you RSVP your attendance so they order enough food for lunch.
