I have been in touch with Taylor Wimpey this morning about the path and the
surfacing work which remains outstanding on the Bramley Green estate. We
may well see some progress in the next few weeks - the below is taken from
an email to me from Chris Hill woho works for Wimpey in Hook recieved 15
minutes ago....
Things will start happening towards the end of the month.
We’ve been waiting for SSE to have a sufficiently large enough
slot in their work programme to dedicate a gang for more than a week.
They will be installing their cables for the Railway path lights from
06/08 ~ 16/08. J Devine will be starting prep works at end July.
Due to the where the works are we’ve wanted to ensure that
trenches are only open for the min. time poss hence JD going
in just ahead of SSE.
Once SSE have laid their cables SEC will follow on and do the
joints in the columns themselves as SSE aren’t allowed to
undertake those.
While JD have a gang on site they are going to finish off all
of the “on-site” tarmacing. I was pushing them to do this earlier
but they tell me they’ve been waiting themselves for the Surfacing
Contractor to have a window. Although I still have my suspicions
they were waiting for when their own gang was there. But we’re so
close now it wasn’t really worth rocking the boat.
