While training on task switching I noticed an immediate problem; I
improved too quickly. Using this test as a measure of executive
function, my first task switching game I actually scored below average
on the measure of EF.

However, training has produced an immediate positive effect. After
training, an hour later I played the flash feature again, and I scored
well above average. Is it really reasonable that I improved my
executive functioning in an hour?
The literature claims that training provides benefits to other far-
reaching measures of task switching. But most measures are similar in
function, and I wonder if task switching testing is just a skill one
can improve on, without any true benefit in the outside world. In
other words, the initial measure is an accurate measure of executive
function, but once trained it loses its predictive value because one
is only developing a skill to perform better at the test.
