Hi Everyone -

Boston Pride Hockey is making a league change this year from NESHL to Stinky Socks hockey.  By moving leagues we are gaining more consistency with regard to night, time and rink location.  In polling members of the organization over the last year or two, we have found the consistency option as being very highly regarded.

Starting September 6th, Boston Pride Hockey will field a team of players for a C/D level league.  The games will be EVERY TUESDAY, 9pm at the Somerville rink.  There will be a limited number of teams in this league through the end of the year but will field a referee and scorekeeper.  Our roster is limited to the first 15 people.

Stinky Socks (www.stinkysocks.net) hockey is a great league with several members of BPH playing in their tournaments and divisons over the last few years.  If a roster is short, they will find fill in players - this elliminates or greatly reduces the "late night games with 6-7 skaters" issue we have had in the past.

Stinky Socks also has a payment plan.  This information can be found on their website.  When you register, you can pay them directly - currently $410/season.  Be SURE TO PUT "BOSTON LOBSTERS" in the comments section when signing up and send a note to bo...@bostonpridehockey.org to let us know you are registering.

A final note regarding the league change.  Normally StinkySocks requires players to buy a jersey.  We have worked out a deal with them to avoid this and use our exisiting white/red lobsters jersey. However, their numbering system is different which will require a minor number resetting. Adding this link to your basket at checkout on their website will sign you up for numbering:  http://secure.stinkysocks.net/SSH-NUM.html bring your jersey to the first game, your jersey will be reset for you at no cost.  If you do not currently have a StinkySock jersey or white/red lobsters jersey, you maybe required to purchase a league jersey.  I believe the cost is $40.
