to British Paragliding Cup
I'm planning to leave home (Leicestershire) early Thursday morning,
with a view to flying if possible in N. Wales. I wonder if I could
link up with someone else who has a similar plan, as I don't know any
of the sites apart from Penmaenbach.

Many thanks, Liz

Hi Liz et al,

The sites guide can be downloaded from our website at
http://www.snowdoniaskysports.co.uk
We would ask that anyone visiting to fly are familiar with the guide and
yes, 2002/3 is the latest.
The membership fee is a lowly £10/yr to encourage pilots to join and support
the club, so can I tempt any of you? The site guide and membership form are
side by side on the webpage.

The weather looks to be good for the next four or five days and people will
be out tomorrow, probably Moel Elio. Although as someone in the UHPC
recently said; 'I have taken the barometer off the wall and replaced it with
a rain fall gauge, its more accurate!!'

Contact details on the contacts page...

Cheers

Just a small note to say that the weather is currently looking very favourable for the last round of the BP Cup in Snowdonia this weekend, we will be registering on the Thursday evening and the Friday morning, however due to the current good forecast we may be heading out early on the Friday morning. If you are going to turn up in the morning please be aware of this, we will obviously do our best to accomodate you but flying takes priority, if you can give your GPS to someone who is coming up before you so we can download it that will be fine.

For those that cannot make the Friday we will be registering again Fri evening and/or saturday morning, time permitting.

Anyone arriving early on Thursday to fly please see the Snowdonia Sky Sports website for site info, despite what some forums have been reporting Snowdonia is not a free for all and any inconsiderate flying/take offs or landings not only jeopardize future BP Cup events but more importantly could severely restrict flying for local pilots in the park. The majority of the sites are within the National Park and there has been much work in the past to keep the local landowners happy, there are still places that are no go areas or overly sensitive, make sure you read the sites guide and that you are aware of them.

As John has pointed out the sites guide can be downloaded here:  http://www.snowdoniaskysports.co.uk/sites_guide.php

Please bring ALL relevant documentation for registration, we are looking forward to a great weekend.

Cheers

Gareth
