House painter recommendation

This is just a little bad experience I had about a year ago with a guy
that works in Boulder "under the table" cash only. For the life of me, I
can't remember his last name (darn), but his first name is Alex, and he
is a pretty big guy. He was an awesome painter but he took forever to do
anything, and he never did finish the job. He used every excuse not to
work, and I finally asked him to go away because he would show up
whenever he wanted to work, and was just a real pain. It took him over
two months to paint about 3/4 of the outside of my very small house - and
making a mess everywhere he went. My house was a disaster for months
with a job that should have taken no more than a week.
I eventually had to him for what he had done, and tell him to go away. I
finished it myself in a weekend. He was just a jerk and a slob.
If this guy responds to your request for information - stay far far
away. He seems to like to pray on women in particular
