Well we have gone live we our first trading partner using BOTS!

One thing I am seeing, that never happened in testing, is an incoming
document error for a segment being too long:

MessageError: [F05] Record "[['ST'], ['S5'], ['H3']]" field "H302" too big
(max 30): "SHIPMENTS GOING TO CLEAR LAKE, IA MUST D".

This is happens because the Freight Shipping software they have has lots of
problems. It is outputting the H302 segment with 40 characters instead of
30. Is there a way I can get bots to simply ignore this segment? Or maybe a
pre-channel script that can edit the segment before the is read in?

the messages they send are non-standard compliant.
alas, this sometimes happens.
best is to change the value of this field from 30 to 40
