Hi ,

I was successfully able to start server, record and play sample apk accompanied with bot .

Now i need to test my own apk , so i did the following

1. put the MyAndroid.apk in root folder

2.added below in default properties

APP_PACKAGE= com.mkyong.android

DEFAULT_ACTIVITY=GridViewActivity

FRAMEWORK=robotium

 TESTCASE_FOLDER=MyAndroidApp

TEST_APK_FILENAME=MyAndroidApp.apk

ANDROID_VERSION=android-16

key.store=C:/Users/pramod.kumar/.android/debug.keystore

key.store.password=android

key.alias=androiddebugkey

key.alias.password=android

3. done ant recorder command

4. do some actions

5. found that no session is being built in the server

Hi Pramod,

Can you check whether the Manifest file for the app contains Internet
permissions.
Else add the following line:

<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET" />

And build the app.

Thanks for the reply.

apk file I got is a standalone application and i think there is no need of internet permission.will that be a problem?

Yes you still need Internet permission because bot-bot needs to communicate to server to record sessions.
