Hi TAS. Nice to hear from another spurs supporter. As you can see
from the recent flurry of messages we are in the process of getting
Boston Spurs official and are getting set to have an initial
gathering.
Everyone, I suggest that meet at Roggies for the initial get-to-know-
you pint. I've never been there but it has been suggested from 2
people. As I said in a previous message, while I believe that we
should have one pub that we call the Boston Spurs home pub, having
multiple pubs surrounding the Boston area might be fun and would
certainly be friendly to our supporters who are located well outside
the hub. I think it important to try, within reason, to accommodate
everyone who wants to be a member and who would like to attend
events. So, it's something that we can and should discuss when we
meet. Does anyone have any time that is not good for them? With the
exception of this weekend, Saturday nights are perfect for me.
However, I can arrange to come into town any night of the week as
well.
So let's see what we can come up with. Spread the word to other
supporters who might be interested. Go Spurs!!
I agree about Roagie's as I work at BC, it'd be an easy shot over...
Trying to plan for multiple pubs maybe a challenge, as we hope to be an official group, having a home, may be smart as it shows that members always now where they can go for a match and see the best and smartest fans.
Oxy (who I met in the only other meeting of the group) had made mention that we should think officers for the club, too. Is this needed? As I'm interested too.

The first meeting should be at a place that's easily accessable to
people outside the city, who may not be familliar with city driving
and located at a place that has ample parking. While some of us, like
myself, may be familliar with city driving, most are not. Plus parking
is a headache most of the time on Saturday nights

Having multiple pubs may be challenging. However, as you can tell
from some of the messages that have come in finding one for the first
get together is already proving very challenging. If we can just
decide on one place for this first meeting, it may not be ideal in
many aspects but it will get us together so that we can open up a
discussion with everyone seated around a table. I use to work in
Brookline. The Publick House on Beacon Street is T accessible and
they just completed street renovations with updated parking bout 2
years ago. I know it can be crowded but if we do early sat nite it
just might work. We need to find a pub home that will accommodate the
club but we first need to get together, period. It will be a 30 plus
mile trip for me and as long as there is parking and good beer with
good Spurs fans I'm okay with it.
Saturday nite may be tough with kids and family stuff. Would a week night after work, make more sense... maybe a Saturday/Sunday afternoon... less traffic

I live in Cleveland Circle, and parking will NOT be easy on a Saturday
night. For the initital meeting I agree that the meeting should be
held further outside the city to make it easy to everyone.
