The next Boston Haskell meeting will be Thursday, January 20th from 7pm to 9pm at our usual location, the MIT CSAIL Reading Room (32-G882, which is a room on the 8th floor of the Gates Tower of the MIT's Stata Center at 32 Vassar St in Cambridge, MA).

We have two speakers this time:

* Daniel Peebles (copumpkin on #haskell) will be giving an introduction to Agda. Agda, for those of you not familiar with it, is a dependently typed Haskell-like language, which takes the idea of type level programming that much further, by making the type level look just like the term level! More information can be found on the Agda wiki: http://wiki.portal.chalmers.se/agda/pmwiki.php

* David Spivak will be giving an overview of how databases can be viewed as categories, and what this means from an information theory perspective.

There will be refreshments provided during the break and of course, if you'd like to stick around, a number of us tend to head down to the CBC afterwards and socialize. http://www.cambrew.com/

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email the mailing list here at boston...@googlegroups.com or contact me personally at ekm...@gmail.com.
