Subject: eBird Report - Boston- Christopher Columbus Park , 12/29/09

Location:    Boston- Christopher Columbus Park
Observation date:    12/29/09
Notes:    Bring bread, or, in my case, Weetabix, if you want to attract the Lesser Black-backed Gulls. These two gulls arrived immediately upon my tossing Weetabix Biscuits on the ground.(Don't get me wrong, I simply love Weetabix, but had no bread at home). I was surprised to find TWO ADULTS.(for years, there had only been only one here faithfully every winter). On the down side, I lost my binoculars on the train yesterday. on the up side, i got my 100th bird species of the month today.
Number of species:    7

Mallard    6
Ring-billed Gull    X
Herring Gull (American)    X
Lesser Black-backed Gull    2
Rock Pigeon    15
European Starling    18
House Sparrow    6
