Just had a call from Kevin O'Brien, letting me know that although Brian
O'Donovan is NOT organizing the ICONS festival at the Irish Cultural Center
in Canton this year, there WILL be an Irish festival there. No big names
like the ICONS festival, just (mostly) local bands, but it will run the
usual two days. They're looking for some pipers, to do a one-hour
performance. If you're interested, let me know and I can put you in touch
with the organizer. It's coming up in two weeks, and I don't have time to
organize it, but if you're interested, I'll be happy to make connections and
help you get it done. I'll be happy to lend you the banner too, with the
club logo on it.
Details are below. Hope you're all enjoying the summer.
Torrin - what's the news from the Fleadh?! Dying to know how you get on over
there.
All the best,
-Frank
