Not at a computer but I think you solved it.   I had forgotten a fact. The users table was written by a bunch of php/flash devs (no insult) and they used no primary key.  The table was used by a php api..   Now I want to use it with Rails (using social stream was just a red herring)...   I forgot id never existed.  Stupid move on my part. 


ok ading the id column to the table fixed the issue..   now onto the next issue..  401 instead of a redirect to oauth..   :-(
