Hello Boston Rubyists,
At this week's meeting, Luke Crawford announced the first Boston.rb
hackfest:
Tuesday, November 27th
7-9pm
I'm happy to announce that thoughtbot will host this and future
Boston.rb hackfests at our office:
41 Winter Street, 3rd floor
http://tinyurl.com/3ch9pn
We are taking inspiration from the Seattle.rb hackfests by slightly
altering their guidelines as a starting point for the Boston.rb
hackfests:
* We'll provide pizza/beer/soda/veggies for anyone who emails me
saying they are attending.
* We have plenty of comfy swivel chairs, power outlets, and
whiteboards.
* Please bring something to work on, checked out and ready to go.
* Please communicate through the Boston Ruby Group mailing list before
hackfests to determine what to work on and find folks with expertise
you may need.
* We hope to meet more than once a month to give everyone more
opportunities to fit Ruby into their schedules. We're thinking the
Tuesday before and Tuesday after the Boston Ruby Group meetings.
* Come and go as you please during the two hour window.
In the Ruby and open source spirit, we of course will be counting on
your contributions and energy to make these hackfests successful for
all Boston Rubyists who care to participate.
Hope to see you on the 27th!
