Newbie - EJB question

I am just learning EJB. It says EJB has 2 interfaces - home and
component interface - but don't see where this interfaces are
implemented. A book example (EJB in 21 days) shows a code how a client
looks for interface using JNDI - but how this home interface was
instantiented?

Hi,
I've developed simple application which uses a stateles session bean
facade. Internaly the session bean uses straight JDBC (no entity
beans). However when I try to use the commit() or rollback() methods
the app fails reporting I'm not allow to use transactions. Could you

I would like to export a UML 2.0 project to XMI out of JBuilder 2007
Enterprise edition. According to the documentation the export wizard should

Is there a way to access the enitity bean interface say, MyEntity from with
the code of the MyEntityBean class? My first inclination was to use "this"
but that obviously failed since MyEntityBean does not implement the MyEntity

upgraded to JbUilder 2006:
We have our own tag library called Northumbria Tag (Prefixed UNN), this worked fine on my old PC running Jbuilder 9 but I cannot get the new version to recognise it.
As you can see from the first screen shot I have exclamation marks next to the UNN Tags.
I have attempted to configure the tags via the preferences and thought I had successfully added them. the path is I believe correct as:

When will there be a patch avail. that supports WLS 9.1. Curently I run in
to a lot op problems in JB2006 when migrating from WLS 8.1 to 9.1. eg. CMP
primary key generation has changed from Oracle to Sequence in the
deploymentdescriptor.

Does anyone know how to create an EJB Client JAR in JB 2005 when the a
project is built? I've used the 'Create EJB Client JAR menu...' but I
want to automatically keep the client jar file up to date when I build

We have made an EJB with just ONE method namely CombineStrings.
There are ONLY 3 parameters (all string) in that EJB-method. They are named as Part1, Part2 and Part3. (Please see the EJB files pasted below)\

Now when we build the project it in JBuilder, the parameter names in the stubs and skeleton files CHANGES to arg0, arg1 and arg2 respectively.

I have JBuilder 4 Professional which I need to use on two PCs - my
office PC and my portable PC. The portable is part of the same network
linked by a wireless connection. We use roaming profiles.
