It should be as comprehensive as possible.
It should be customizable, ideally source should be available

We don't do fleet management but we do have something that maybe useful for
any mobile unit

We support a hardware appliance, about the size of an 8 track tape (for
those of you old enough to remember those)

It supports 2 analog Video Inputs and a serial and RS485 port.

Using a CDMA Modem (or 802.11b) it can push video and GPS information to our
servers and we can show live video as well as a map detailing the actually
location and a history of where the vehicle has been at any point if
recording is activated.

Video can be streamed out as MJPEG or MPEG4 to win32 or pocketPC clients and
as jpeg and png to Cell phone's.

These devices are being used in high security and military venus and on
UAV's which can be controlled by pocketPC clients that show live video as
well as real time sensor information.
