It allows me to do things I couldn't do easily otherwise.

The price is peanuts compared with my billable time.

Take, for example, the situation where I have three directories D1, D1A and D2.
D1 contains the source files of version 1 of a thirdparty component, D1A
contains my updated files and D2 contains the latest version.

I can do a directory compare of D1 and D1A, producing an automatic set of
comparisons of changed files. The three way comparison merge then lets me see,
at a glance, my changes between D1 and D1A and I can apply, on a change by
change basis, those changes to D2.

Also, I have Araxis Merge set up as a Delphi tool so that it automatically
displays the differences between the current PAS file and its associated ~PAS.

The latest upgrade supports automatic merging, but I haven't had time to get to
grips with it yet.
