Tried turning UAC off, tried running as "Administrator", but, the problem
still exists.

I have Delphi Speed Up loaded but it used to do this before I loaded it,
have no solution though.

i guess your bds 2006 is causing access violations when it exits. mine
does it all the time on win xp. on win xp, "invalid pointer" message
boxes pop up, and bds must be killed using the task manager.
try turning off error insight if you can live without it. i can't, so i
just keep task manager open...

Try to close the open project before you close the IDE. That has fixed
all these problems for me when I still worked with BDS2006.
The problem seems to be some timing conflict with components on
design-time forms getting destroyed after stuff they need in the IDE
has already been destroyed. D2007 has resolved that.

If your project gets saved OK you can ignore it. The possible culprit
in this case may be an IDE add-in you have installed, but the error
cannot do any damage once the project has been closed.
