Dear group,

I hope someone can shed some light on the situation.

We are using Delphi 5 on Windows XP Pro.
The application that we have built includes a default XP Manifest
resource.

Running the application on XP seems to be no problem. No negative side
effects on enabling themes could be detected.
Running the application on Vista or Windows 7 makes the application
hang and utilizes approx. 50% cpu time.
Running the application on Vista or Windows 7 WITHOUT the manifest
seems to be no problem.

We have built the application also with Delphi 7 and found that there
are NO problems at all.

My question:
What part of the VCL of Delphi 5 needs to be modified in order to make
the hang go away?
We really would like to test our application suite on both Vista and
Windows 7, but as the TListView is on the mainform, it hangs as soon
as it starts up.

Thank you in advance for any assistance,
Rory
