I am trying to set up Borland C++ Builder 4.0 on my
new computer and I am having huge amounts of trouble
getting programs to compile from disk.
I have installed to the default directory of:
C:\Program Files\Borland\CBuilder4\
The problem is that I am trying to compile code
from:
D:\Program Files\Borland\CBuilder4\Teach...
Yourself Borland C++ Builder in 21 Days\Day 01
and I keep getting error messages telling me that
components cannont be found:
[Linker Error] Unresolved external '_Form1'...
referenced from D:\PROGRAM FILES\BORLAND...
\CBUILDER4\DAY01\HELLOWORLD.OBJ.
with the ellipsis added by me.
Now I have tried appending all relevant paths to my
Windows 2000 path variable and so on with no
success. Well I should qualify that - if I use the
default project and unit names it will compile from
disk once I have saved it, but not if I reaname
them.
Can someone please let me know what is going on or
where I should be looking for help. Thanks for yor
patience.
