I don't see IronPython as a competitor. I mean, boo is meant to be
more than just a programming language. That's why we have an open
Boo.Lang.Compiler API, the extensible compilation pipeline, syntactic
attributes/macros, etc. We haven't started to realize the benefits of
this open compiler architecture yet but we will... Freedom is
sometimes hard to get used to.

Why not use boo as the framework is beyond me.

The guys at the mono list were talking about forking mcs to write a
new pascal compiler. Forking? Whatever happened to reusability?

Better documentation/debugging tools, better project browsing tools,
aspect oriented frameworks, refactoring enabled  IDEs and wherever
else our imagination takes us.

Freedom and collaboration are the ways to get there.
