I'm facing this issue on Windows/MAC if i have an existing version
installed and try to upgrade it. If you uninstall the old version, the
new one installs cleanly otherwise throws an error:
sorry, an error has occurred
The application could not be installed because an application with
that name already exists at the selected installation location.Try
installing to a different location.

You mean to say that you are not able to upgrade, but you can
uninstall and re-install the new version?
