The
Activities of the III Petrocaribe Summit starts today, August 10 with
the settling of the Ministerial Conference of Experts of the
organization, to be held in the PDVSA’s headquarters, Caracas.
The Ministerial Meeting will be headed by
the Energy and Oil Minister
and President of PDVSA, Rafael Ramírez, who will be accompanied by
ministers and members of the following delegations: Antigua and
Barbuda, Bahamas, Belize, Cuba, Dominica, Granada, Guyana, Jamaica,
Dominican Republic, San Kitts and Levis, Santa Lucia, San Vicente and
the Grenadines and Surinam.
The opening ceremony will start with
the speech of Minister Ramírez, followed by an explanation of the
meeting’s methodology, approval of the agenda, discussion and its
issues and the approval and issuing of resolutions.
Likewise,
the Venezuelan Vice-president, Jorge Rodríguez and the Energy Minister
will offer a private dinner to the Heads of States and their
delegations of the Caribbean countries in the Art Center La Estancia.
