The BOINC-wide teams thing is intended to create new teams on NEW projects, not on all the existing projects.  The idea is it will make sure that no-one steals your team name when a new project is created.

So if someone starts a new project tomorrow, your team should be added automatically.

So there'll be multiple teams with the same name but each of those

a BOINC-wide team. It just merges the credit of your teams in
different projects with the same name. It does not automatically
create teams for you, you have to do it manually.

David,

It's not that I do not agree with you.

But I will just add one thing.

..... There is nothing like we or you. New features like this is good and can be planned depending on their feasibility and bandwidth, but I would suggest not making terms we, they and you to reflect such distinction.

No; it creates teams on both new and existing projects:

Hi,

I have a very old team in Seti@Home, and a few days ago I created the
Boinc-wide one, with exactly the same name (Rotaract)... but (well, I
assumed that it would...) does not link it to the SETI@Home one...
also could not find it in a few projects after these 4-5 days of being
created.

Is there something wrong? Who should I ask?

Thanks!
