Sunday 5th February - Kelvin Christiane Quartet
Kelvin is a saxophonist who has been leading his own bands for the past
twenty years having released eighteen albums, mainly of his own
compositions, to great critical acclaim. His latest album is entitled
"Wigger" which was released in 2010 and showcases his inventive and
stylish soloing. He played and wrote for the World Jazz Ensemble and
also hosts gigs at the Twickenham Jazz club every Thursday. Joining him
tonight are Ross Stanley (piano), Adam King (bass) and Noel Joyce
(drums).

Sunday 12th February - Derek Nash
Derek is one of the most popular saxophonists on the London jazz scene
today. He is the leader of the award winning group Sax Appeal, and is
also a member of Jools Holland's Band with whom he has toured all over
the country and made countless TV appearances. Derek has often played at
Boaters with the explosive "Protect The Beat" and so any evening with
him is guaranteed to be a funky affair. Completing the line up are
Winston Blissett on bass, Darby Todd on drums and Simon Carter on
keyboards.

Sunday 19th February - Simon Spillett Quartet
This is hard swing and bebop at its very best. Simon won the 'Rising
Star' category of the BBC jazz awards in 2007 and is one of the most
energetic and dynamic tenor saxophonists in Britain. Often likened to
Tubby Hayes, Simon's appearances at jazz clubs across the country have
led to rave reviews and unconditional acclaim so it is a great pleasure
to welcome him back to Boaters. He is joined by John Critchinson
(piano), Paul Morgan (bass) and Clark Tracey (drums).

Sunday 26th February - Graham Dee
Graham is quickly becoming a firm favourite at Boaters. He is considered
to be one of the country's finest jazz and soul singers and has worked
extensively on the session scene with the likes of Lemar and Westlife.
He is also a very well respected vocal coach and has taught at the Brit
School and Leeds College of Music. Don't miss this special opportunity
to see Graham perform with Simon Carter (piano), Phil Mulford (bass) and
Geoff Dunn (drums).
