.box class background color?

This is a really minor question but as I look through th code and
scripts I'm wondering why the .box class has a default background
color. It comes off as unnecessary to me but maybe I'm missing
something.

Do some of the classes and ids come with specific color choices by
default? Just curious. Thanks.

This comes from the initial direction that Blueprint had; that a site
built with BP and nothing else should be "attractive" out of the box,
however simple it might be. The forms classes have some specific
colors as well. You are free to override these settings with your own
CSS.
